The examples, good practices, and templates described in these toolkits are taken from the University of Plymouth as well as from the partners involved in the UniverCity project which implemented two sessions of CRA at their institutions in 2021 and 2022: Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (Bulgaria), Lucian Blaga University (Romania), and Psiquadro (Italy). Besides the experiences and lessons learned from UniverCity, the toolkits provides a broader description of community-based research (CBR) as a method of learning through close collaborations with local communities and addressing community needs. Community- academic partnerships can expand the capacity, reach, and impact of community-inspired research and amplify the university’s role in society.
